An amazing holiday Me and my hubby have just returned from a remarkable 2 weeks in Riviera Maya. We stayed at the Sandos Caracol Beach resort and from the moment we stepped off the plane we had the perfect dream holiday. The hotel is set in a beautiful location set at the edge of an exotic jungle, the gardens are simply stunning and are very well looked after. We seen a lot of wildlife while walking along the paths, the iguanas and geckos don’t seem to be bothered by the tourists at all. We had a wonderful sea view room and the views from the balcony where very dazzling. The maid service was fantastic and our room was cleaned every other day as was our mini bar. All the staff where extremely helpful and pleasant and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The restaurants are really good and there is a huge selection of food available. The Mexican and Steakhouse restaurants where our favourites. There are plenty of bars around so you’re never far from a cool beverage. The beach is incredible and was perfect for relaxing with plenty of sun loungers available, the beach is quite big so we never felt that it got too crowded and there was also a secluded spot to find. The sea is so clear and warm and there’s plenty of tropical fish to see. The fire and drum show is a must see, the professional band and fire dancers are amazing and its all set to music and was a great evenings entertainment. The highlight of our holiday was swimming with dolphins at Delphinus which was an amazing experience and something we’d both wanted to do for years. The interaction with the dolphins is amazing and there trained so well and its something ill never forget. The photos and the video you can buy at the end is a little expensive but worth it.
